| A perfect example of sports idiotsThis story is a pretty good example of why I am not a sports fan and why I believe that professional sports are contributing to the "dumbing down" of this country. If either one of these fools had anything of any value going on upstairs this kind of thing would never happen. 20:21:34| Playing with the camera again
| "The Island" looks a little familiar...
I just finished watching "The Island" on DVD. I was expecting to see a cool Sci-Fi thriller with an interesting plot twist - as described by all my friends that had already seen the movie. Being the only MST3K fan in my circle of friends, I guess I'm the only one that has seen "Parts - The Clonus Horror". It's the exact same movie. The two differ only in that in one movie the utopia that the clones are all hoping to go is "The Island", and the other is "America". I watched this all the way through hoping for some departure from the original story, my hopes were dashed on the rocks of banality. I read all the credits wondering if I would see a credit like "based on the story "Parts...", nope, not even... I imagine the orginal writer(s) died of embarrassment caused by the first go 'round of this movie and therefore won't be pressing for any royalties or taking anyone to court for copyright infringement. Highly reccomend the MST'd version of "Parts - The Clonus Horror" over "The Island" you get the same story, and as an added bonus you get Mike, Tom, Crow, & Gypsy making fun of it. 20:37:01| Looking For Movies?
They're not here. I've noticed lots of referrals from Yahoo! video search. They apparently haven't spidered me in quite some time. I took the movie page down months ago and have no plans to put it back any time soon. So if that's what you're here for, I am sorry to disappoint you, really I am, it's just that I've changed the direction of this page. I hope you find something else of interest here... 17:37:18| Totalled!
What you see here is a 1993 Chevrolet Lumina that has been "totalled" by the "like a good neighbor" folks. That's right, the cost of repairing a broken headlight, dented fender and hood is greater than the value of the the rest of the car. These nice folks are going to give me something like $500 with which, in their opinion, I can replace this vehicle. Then they will in turn sell it to a salvage yard and recoup some of their "expense". No matter that this damage, caused by their insured, has caused me no end of problems. Their guy HIT ME and then hired a TV PI shyster and has tried to SUE ME even though he is totally at fault. And whenever I try to talk to his insurance company they treat me like I'm some kind of criminal when all I'm trying to do is get my car fixed. All I've done is truthfully recounted the event. I haven't made up injuries (like the other guy did) - bastards. Keep your good hands to yourself, and if I may, offer you a finger? 19:01:09| There's a new Tiki in town!
